Persistence and Change

Christian Missions like Lutheran Church, Church of South India, Church of Christ and Pentecostals have done yeomen service to the Tribes in Inda. This book deals with persistence and change that took place in the life styles of Tribes in East Godavari District of Andhra Pradesh. Through the spread of Christianity and modernization the tribal social customs, traditional value system and way of life have changed.In this context, it studies whether this model of development is suitable to Indian conditions and whether any changes are needed for the fulfillment of the task.
