Political Negotiation

"Polarization. Partisanship. Rancor. Character assassinations. Government shutdowns. Why can't our elected officials just get along and do their jobs? The United States was once seen as a land of broad consensus and pragmatic politics. Sharp ideological differences were largely absent.
