A satirical and witty play in Portuguese vernacular, written by the greatest dramatist of Renaissance Portugal. The play, which mocks the social and economic problems of the time, follows the misadventures of a poor Afro-Portuguese woman who laments the scarcity of wine and food in Lisbon, and the greed and corruption of the rich.
