Romford Football Club 1876-1920

The first Romford Football Club was set up in 1876, most of its players being office workers at the local Ind Coope Brewery. During the decades that followed, the club played against such teams as Blackburn Rovers, Tottenham Hotspur, Charlton Athletic and Woolwich Arsenal, and even reached the quarter final of the FA Cup. The culmination of decades of research, this book provides details of over 1500 matches, together with season-by-season summaries, player statistics and league tables. There are also reports of each AGM, short biographies of some of the club's major personalities, and many previously unpublished team photographs and views of old Romford.
