Sarah

It is the long hot summer of 1796. In Devonshire, fourteen- year-old Sarah lives on the large farm, which has been home to countless generations of her late mother's family.

Sarah was only five when her mother died, and in all that time, her father has forbidden any mention of her. He never allows Sarah to work on the land or help out with the farmhouse tasks. And to her dismay, he has announced she is to be sent away to a boarding school for young ladies.

She is feisty and strong-willed with ambitions of her own. Her father is strict and always knows best. Can she ever accept the life he has chosen for her?
