Seasons in Time

A parent's worst nightmare - their child has gone missing, without a trace, just days before Christmas. The social pressures and hectic pace that many families face can produce profound feelings surrounding neglect and belonging. A sense of loneliness is experienced by many, which is felt more deeply during the 'Holiday Season'. These feelings, left unchecked, erode the cohesiveness of the family unit, resulting in the unexpected. 'Seasons In Time', a heart-rending story for all ages, brings to light some of the issues that have a negative impact on the family. The story is an odyssey of reflection and self-discovery interwoven through the lives of three generations in the Branson/Parks family. It sheds light on how the various seasons experienced through different times in their lives has affected seasons of change in who they have become, as well as in their relationships with others. With only a week before Christmas, Nathan Parks finds himself on the afternoon bus leaving town. Tired of being marginalized both at home and in school, the young teen is leaving life, as he knows it, far behind. In his search for belonging and love, Nathan's venture soon becomes a journey of discovery and self-awareness. Through this pilgrimage there are unexpected twists and surprises that surface, not only for him, but also for those of his family in their quest to find him.
