Sport und Religion

Text in German. Sport and religion are interwoven in many ways and at the same time form an exciting relationship. Sport is generally perceived as performance-related, is closely linked to economic interests in public and requires little reflection in its practice. Religion, on the other hand, is seen as an oasis of the soul, critical of society and the economy and intensive reflection. Nevertheless: Both are body-related and supported by ideas of a successful life. This volume does not want to dissolve these tensions, but rather make them visible in six practical teaching modules. A comprehensive introduction locates the modules in the theological and sports science discourse.
