Susan Stebbing: Analysis, Common Sense, and Public Philosophy is the first edited volume, comprised of eleven historical essays, dedicated exclusively to Susan Stebbing, a long neglected female figure in the male-dominated tradition of analytic philosophy and Britain's first female Professor of Philosophy. The volume endeavors to reinstate Stebbing's place in the analytic tradition by examining her ideas in context and elucidating their significance, many of which are still relevant to present day philosophy.
