Sustainability in Events Management

This upper-level undergraduate and postgraduate textbook will help students understand how to plan, design and deliver events in line with the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Sustainability in Events Management looks at: - Planning an event with consideration to the triple bottom line (TBL) of people, planet and profit across all facets from selecting a venue to hiring caters - Delivering and evaluating the event to ensure sustainability objectives are met and improved upon for future events, including measuring long-term impacts - The broader issues impacting sustainability, including social and economic factors With in-text learning features such as learning outcomes, reflective questions, interviews with event managers and practitioners and a glossary of key terms, this textbook will allow students to plan and deliver successful events that are green and sustainable. Real-world examples are from a variety of mega and local events including the Paris 2024 Olympics, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and the Singapore Grand Prix.
