What Gene Wilder didn't tell us is that imagination not only flows through the Chocolate Factory- it runs through the streets of London too. 

Realistic, or Dreaming? Pessimistic, or Optimistic? Down-to-earth, or head-in-the-heavens? 

Reason, or imagination?

We often create such contrasts, pigeon-holing personalities and forcing ourselves and others into one option or the other. You can have your head in the clouds, or you can have your feet on the ground. You can't have both. 

But what if imagination wasn't what we thought it was? What if it's not incompatible with reason- in fact, what if they're fundamentally related? For the Christian, part of following God is our minds being renewed. Where does imagination play into that process? Should we embrace it as a tool, reject it as temptation, or ignore it as irrelevant? In this book, we'll answer these questions as we explore the nature of imagination and how we use it as Christians to glorify God when we imagine reality.
