New worlds lie inside our cells and the journey towards what is inside of them is still very deep and the more we learn the more we realise how much is left to know. After co-authoring more than 30 manuscripts and peer-reviewing many others, during the outbreak of the pandemic I decided it is time to publish a good book that includes loads of my science on immune systems and mainly oncology, but it had to be something that I loved most and would be also catchy for its hopefully meaningful content and its challenging questions from beginning to end to guide the reader on one of the most challenging and pressing issues in health that becomes even more problematic during this pandemic: cancer and immunology. As I was searching for a good inspiration, my eyes fell upon a manuscript I drafted that I liked and wanted to share with everyone I know through some kind of a presentation: my thesis! The book you are about to read is my doctorate thesis that came from a very hard work experience and rigorous publications that rose very naturally from it. With the intention to make a good presentation of my experience and passion in the field of immune oncology discovery I created a book.
