The Reading Rabbit

This illustrated children's book is about a young girl who likes reading to her pet rabbit, Rachel. It is a celebration about what is special about all creatures. There are follow-up questions and suggestions for additional books to read on the last page of the book.

Jan Yager has taught school and is the author of numerous books including the children's books, THE CANTALOUPE CAT and THE QUIET DOG, illustrated by Mitzi Lyman. Illustrator Mitzi Lyman is a graphic designer and artist who graduated from the University of Massachusetts and studied at various art schools including The School of Visual Arts in New York, the Corcoran School in Washington, D.C. and the Silvermine School of Art in Connecticut.
