The Robot's Daughter

On a routine patrol at the fringe of the AGS territories, the Nirvanian cruiser, Quantum, dispatches a boarding party to a barbarian slave ship. They find that the slaves bled the atmosphere to space killing everyone. Hidden clues warn that an old enemy has joined with a heinous new species in an attack on an AGS colony. Also it is clear that one of these new creatures has jettisoned to the nearby planet, Earth. Quantum must leave to rescue their colonial survivors. Earth's destiny now depends on the alien who lives here. The Robot's Daughter is a stand alone novel although it is the second book in the Shaman Gene series.
