Jaclyn Garcia is Mexican American and grew up eating her grandmother's homemade tortillas, and now her children get to do the same. This is Jaclyn Garcia's first children's book, which was inspired by her son Sebastin and pays homage to her grandmother. It was very important to Jaclyn to create a bilingual book in Spanish and English for the Latino community. Many families nowadays are raising bilingual children and this book will continue to encourage that. Her grandmother is currently 94 years old and still makes her famous homemade, flour tortillas.
