This collection of poems written in the author's seventeenth year, her last year of youth. Erin Henehan lives in Fort Pierce, Florida and has all her life. They graduated high school in 2017 and had been writing six years prior. All of the poems in this collection were written while they were in their last year of high school; also while they battled with self-love, mental illness, and the anxiety of entering the adult world without even knowing how to cope in their own. This collection shows the internal and external turmoil of dealing with depression, suicidal tendencies, and a habit of self harm. Just a few weeks before the author graduated from high school, she attempted suicide. They had attempted three different times before that but that was the only time they had received any treatment. These poems were the only way they knew how to express that they couldn't do it on their own anymore. The author had made it their entire youth on their own, and they were done. They don't want anyone else going through similar times to feel alone, or feel like they cant ask for help. These poems are their life.
