Women Without Walls

We live in a scary world, torn apart by them-and-us thinking and threatened by violence, disease and environmental destruction. How can women be active in the public arena as Christian disciples, building community and changing the world around them? 

Jesus calls men and women alike to be ambassadors of God's kingdom in society. This represents a particular challenge for women who in the past have traditionally been associated with the private sphere and who often lack the courage to launch out. What kind of spiritual journey can strengthen them to rise to this challenge and enable them to live out their Christian hope in concrete ways? This is the question which lies at the heart of this book.

Reflecting on the parable of the yeast and drawing on the stories and experiences of women of faith from the Bible and Christian history, the author offers inspiration and encouragement to all women who seek to become passionate followers and imitators of Christ, faithful to the values of God's kingdom in every aspect of their daily lives.
