Gonzo the grasshopper

Gonzo the grasshopper is a beautifully illustrated story book with a very important life lesson: Gonzo shows young readers that you should not be so focused on one particular goal that you miss out on other important things in life.

Gonzo hardly ever hops. He likes flying more. He believes that the faster you get to where you are going, the better. Gonzo's grandfather disagrees – they are grassHOPPERS after all. So Grandpa and Gonzo hop together one day. They go slowly from place to place and stop often to look around. Gonzo realizes that he sees nothing but a blur of grass when he whizzes by in the air, but when he hops he sees raindrops sparkling on grass and bright berries on bushes. Grandpa explains that when Gonzo has time he should hop along and enjoy the journey. And when Gonzo is in a hurry it is okay to fly. Gonzo finally understands that when you are too busy getting to where you are going, you miss a lot of other things along the way.
