Finny the fish

Finny the fish is a beautifully illustrated story book with a very important life lesson: Finny shows that gossiping and talking behind someone's back can be hurtful and cause trouble. The story and illustrations also teach readers about sardines and other marine life.

Finny is a sardine who loves talking to the other sardines in her group. But she also has a very bad habit of talking about the other sardines behind their backs. She feels important when she passes on news, even though it is not always true. She also likes to share the other fishes' secrets. This causes a lot of trouble between them all. The other sardines no longer trust Finny and they decide to teach her a lesson. They tell her that they hear she wants to leave the group. Finny gets very upset that someone is making up stories about her and realizes how awful it feels when someone gossips about you. She finally understands that gossiping can hurt others and cause unnecessary problems, so she stops making up stories about others and learns to keep a secret.
